
Charles Peter “Petey” Zimmerman, Jr., age 51, of Hillsboro, died Friday, March 18, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born March 4, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Charles and Nellie (Goins) Zimmerman. He was employed by the Ohio Valley Truss Company in Hillsboro. He is survived by his wife, Regina (Captain) Zimmerman, to whom he married June 20, 1987; his parents Charles and Nellie Zimmerman of Hillsboro; five children, Antonio Captain of Washington C.H., Jody Zimmerman of Wilmington, Erica Zimmerman, Jessica Zimmerman and Kourtney Zimmerman all of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Mercedes Captain, Jodeci Zimmerman, Michael Zimmerman, Brennen Boost, Je’seus Harris, Keiontay Smith and Antonio Captain Jr.; nine siblings, Tyrone Lawrence of Dayton, Carl Zimmerman of Greenfield, Sherry (Dave) Young of Hillsboro, Carla (Wes) Burns of Hillsboro, Cathy (Raymond) Blakey of Hillsboro, Terry Lynn (Lee) Smith of Hillsboro, Pamela Zimmerman of Hillsboro, Rodney Zimmerman of Hillsboro and Eric Zimmerman of Hillsboro, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Karen and Charlene Zimmerman. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the New Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Hudson, Rev. Tim Booker, and Rev. Wendell Harewood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. hello I just wanted to say I was not that close to my uncle as a was to others,but that really doesnt matter because I was close enough to know that he was a good father,husband,brother,and uncle to all. He may have passed away but his spirit lives on.
