
Shirley A. Yuellig age 83 of Hillsboro died Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2004 at the Heartland of Hillsboro. She was born April 12, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Wade B. and Marie (Armstrong) Lance. Mrs. Yuellig had worked for Dr. Winkle in Monfort Heights for several years as a medical assistant and receptionist. She was a member of the North College Hill United Methodist Church where she was the Superintendent of the Primary Department of the Sunday School and a member of the Homebuilder’s Group. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monfort Heights from 1960 to 1998 where she was a member of the Women’s Society and most recently a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Gordon W. Yuellig whom she married February 14, 1942, sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon L and Darlene Yuellig of Hillsboro, W. Scott Yuellig of Shepardstown, West Virginia, Paul Douglas and Donna Yuellig of Mt. Healthy, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Robin Howard, Jenna Horick, Betsy Stakauskas, Wade, Nathan, Katie, Brian and Thomas Yuellig, five great grandchildren, Jesse Lee McIntosh, Travis Howard, Erica Stakauskas, Emma and Madison Horick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Schoney. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Healthy, Ohio with services being held at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Pastor Chuck Shonkwiler will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Healthy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 303 E.
