Hilda A. Young, age 96, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital.  She was born September 7, 1905 in Highland County the daughter of the late Howard and Della (Stroup) Cochran.  She was a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ.  She is survived by one grandson, Charles Christman of Lynchburg; a niece, Barbara (Bill) Thompson of Mt. Orab; two great nephews, Doug and Darian Thompson and a great niece, Debra Griffith all of Mt. Orab; and one great –great niece, Shaniah Griffith.  Including her parents she was preceded by her husband, Herman Young in 1981, a daughter Ramona Christman, and a sister Gladys Sams.  Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday March 25, 2002 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.  Leo Kuhn will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery.  Friends may call from noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
