Mabel Fern Williams, age 91, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born December 26, 1913 in Bethel, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Edith Pearl Scott Snyder. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, and had formerly owned and operated the Williams Brothers Meat Market. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol J. and Alfred Milton Woodmansee III of Lynchburg, Janet E. and Charles Winkle of Lynchburg, and Judith M. and Roger Turner of Lynchburg; eleven grandchildren, Richard E. (Nancy) Griffith, Judith L. Barr, Troy A. (Andrea) Woodmansee, Lori (Mike) Creditt, Susan (Les) Wylie, Charles Jan Winkle, Pamela J. Turner, James Thomas Williams, Todd (Chris) Williams, Grindle (Dennis) Allen, and Charles (Johna) Williams; 18 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; one sister, Letha (Ralph) Steele of Blanchester; former daughter-in-law Rita Williams Hedge of Lynchburg; brother-in-law Mitchell (Mariann) Williams of Lynchburg; and sister-in-law Anna Williams of Lynchburg. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson Williams on May 1, 1971; son James Douglas Williams; grandson Jack Wilson Griffith; brother Glen Edwin Snyder; and three sisters Leona Tissot, Clara LaVerne Davis and Dorotha Borden. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m.Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Pastor Bob Skipper of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O.
