Anna Lucille “Lucy” Williams, age 91, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006
at the Clinton Memorial Hospital. She
was born April 9, 1915 in Blue Creek, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur and
Essie Chamblin Unger. She was a
member of the Wilmington Bible Baptist Church, Port William Senior Citizens,
Wilmington Senior Citizens, and had worked for the Clinton County Sheriff’s
Office until her retirement in 2000. She
is survived by one daughter, Shirley and her husband Dick Bogan of Jamestown;
two sons, David Williams of Sabina and Danny Williams of Wilmington; six
sisters, Doris and her husband Raymond Resibois of Sardinia, Betty Jean and her
husband Leonard Gilbert of Carlisle, Hazel West of West Union, Ruth Boyd of Mt.
Orab, Mary Elizabeth Zamorski of Anchorage, Alaska, and Wilma Hough of Dayton;
one brother James Unger of Sardinia; nine grandchildren; twenty
great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews. In addition to her parents
she is preceded in death by her husband Edward C. Williams, December 2, 1977;
one son Robert Williams; one sister Garnet Wright; and five brothers, John
Unger, Bill Unger, Robert Unger, Towney Unger, and Wendle Lee Unger.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the
Wilmington Bible Baptist Church. Pastor
Kelly McInerney will officiate. Burial
will follow in the Buford Cemetery. Visitation
will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wilmington Bible Baptist Church.
