Virgil Williams age 87 of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at the Jewish Hospital of Kenwood. He was born November 1, 1913 in Lynchburg the son of Stanley and Mary Achor Williams. He was a retired meat cutter for the William’s Brothers Market, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lynchburg and a former member of the Lynchburg Lions Club. On November 1, 1939 he married Anna Rhonemus Williams who survives, along with a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Don Fender of Lynchburg, a grandson, Terry Fender of Lynchburg and a brother, Mitchell Williams of Lynchburg. His brothers, Woodrow and Eugene Williams, preceded him in death. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
