Timothy Wilbanks, lifetime resident of Lynchburg, Ohio passed away  Tuesday December 6, 2005 at the age of only 44.  Tim was born  January 5, 1961 in Wilmington, Ohio to John and Martha Wilbanks, both of whom will miss him very much.  Tim was a person full of  life and loved a good laugh.  His determined spirit enabled him to  survive a 5 year battle with terminal cancer.  He never gave up.   He endured two stem cell transplants, one bone marrow transplant and numerous rounds of chemotherapy.  He was a fighter to the bitter end.  Through it all he maintained his fun loving personality.  Tim was a wonderful dad to his son Tristan James who survives him along with his  loving wife, Chris who has been by his side since their marriage on May 31, 1992.  He leaves behind his sister, Kimberly and her family Charlie, Linus, Noah and Quinn Stoltz.  Tim was a member of the Hillsboro B.P.O.E. #361 where he was an avid golfer and never met a stranger on the golf course.  We will celebrate his life with a viewing on Friday 6:00-8:00 at Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.  A service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 10 at the Lynchburg United Methodist Church.  The family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made to help fight the battle on Multiple Myeloma  to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 51  Locust Avenue, Suite 201, New Canaan, CT  06840.  For more information or to send condolences to the family please visit www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.

Dear Wilbanks Family - I am a 1981 graduate of LCHS and remember Tim from that time. I remember him as a smart fellow, great athlete and pretty cool guy who everyone liked being around. I never knew of his illness, but from reading the obituary it sounds as if he fought hard during everything he went through. I pray that God will be with and comfort you all at this time.

Tim was a very dear friend of ours. Tim and Chris was like family. We have a motel here and we looked forward for there visit. Joe my husband were like brothers so close.Tim would make you laugh even if you did want to you had to if you were around him.We go back many many years when we first met them. At that time they did not have Christain, thenlater Christ came with Tim and she was expecting this little buddle of joy. Then every year after this here thy were at the beach staying with us, going out to eat, having fun with them both. Tim loved his son very much and was a great father and loved Chris as well. There were a good couple together and he will be missed so much by us. Tim is on and has been on our prayer chain at my church and i know he is not hurting anymore and that he is now with his Lord and waiting in time for the rest of his family. Tim, you are a great friend and we will miss you so very much. God be with you.

It has been a long road and a well-traveled one. We both are saddened by Tim's passing, but his smile illuminates in our memories. He was an inspiration to so many people in his valiant fight. The times I saw him, though outwardly rugged from his fight, he continued to shine as Tim only could. God bless you as your lives go on each day. Shelly and Joyce
