Robert L. White age 82 of Hillsboro died early Wednesday morning October 6, 2010 at the Valley View Care Center in Frankfort, Ohio. He was born February 28, 1928 in Hillsboro, Ohio the son of the late Louie Herschel and Hazel M. Gall White. Mr. White had been the foundry superintendant for White’s Foundry in Hillsboro for thirty-seven years. He was a 1946 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a member of the Sardinia Masonic Lodge #254 for sixty years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Evelyn Emery White whom he had married on August 15, 1948 in Danville, Ohio, two grandchildren, Tim (Mandy) White of Lynchburg, Angie White (Denny) Creachbaum of Leesburg, three great grandchildren, Lane White, Cody Smith and Cindy Smith, two brothers, James R. White of Dayton and Paul T. “Butch” (Pat) White of Milton, Florida and one half brother, Victor Dale Frump of Pacolet, South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy White, one son, Michael Allen White and one half sister, Shirley Mann. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
