Frances Lucille Whitacre age 80 of Hillsboro died Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2002 at her residence in Marshall. She was born August 24, 1922 near Fincastle, Ohio the daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude Ackles Davis. She is survived by her adoptive family with whom she made her home, Lee and Vickie Gaines, Osborne E. Gaines, Paul, Patrick, Michael and Paula Gaines and one cousin, Glenn and Jean Kleinhenn of Lebanon, Ohio. In addition to her parents, her husband, Gordon M. Whitacre and one sister, Eulah Pippin, preceded her in death. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the High Top Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Burns Institute, 202 Goodman Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
