Marlene Elizabeth West, age 75, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She was born March 24, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite Haller Davis. She is survived by her husband Terry West, to whom she had been married to for 53 years; daughter Teresa (Brent) West-Huston of Lancaster; son David (Tawnya) West of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Colt West of Lynchburg, Dawn (Jake) Nestor of Wasilla, Alaska; and Casie (Zach) Slack of Sardinia; three great grandchildren, Layken, Josh, and Alissa; and brother Richard Davis of Houston, Texas. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. I played softball with Marlene years and years ago. She was a very pretty lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you Terry and the family.

I Am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I only met Marlene twice at the reunions but she was a very nice lady. I heard so much about her before hand from Ray McDonald and Janice Haller Grimm.
