Daisy M. Weaver, age 97, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Laurel’s of Hillsboro. She was born February 8, 1909 in New Market, the daughter of the late Milton and Frances Pigott Caplinger. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, and formerly a member of the New Market Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Richard Newman of Sardinia; sister Genevieve Hilton of Hillsboro; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Warren Hart in December of 1957; second husband Peter B. Weaver in March of 2000; daughter Rose Anna Hart-Jordan; four sisters, Goldie Chaney, Gladys Setty, Lily Quickle, and Violet Bailey; and two brothers, Lyman Caplinger and Lester Caplinger. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Turner & Son Funeral Home. David Stokes of the Hillsboro Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
