William Fredrick Walker age 92 of Hillsboro died Friday morning October 11, 2002 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born August 31, 1910 near Fairfax, Ohio the son of the late William R. and Melinda (Marsh) Walker. Mr. Walker was a retired employee of the Highland County Highway Department and had worked at the Highland County Farm Bureau. He is survived by his step-daughter and her husband, Geralene and Gary Huffman of Lumberton and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his first wife, Alice (Page) Walker on July 26, 1986 and by his second wife, Gertrude (Mills) Walker on November 19, 1996, an infant child, one brother, Herbert Walker, one sister, Ruth Walker, two infant brothers and two infant sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Marvin Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
