Clarence E. “Bud” Vance Jr. age 78 of Hillsboro, Ohio died Sunday November 30, 2003 at the Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He was born August 1, 1925 in Hillsboro, Ohio the son of the late Clarence E. and Rachel A. (Caldwell) Vance. Mr. Vance was the owner and operator of Bud Vance Construction Company. He was an Elder in the Hillsboro First Baptist Church and was a member of the Hillsboro Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dan Jordan of Whitefish, Montana, Kris and Ed Norris of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Brett Jordan of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Chris Jordan of Portland, Oregon, one sister, Isabelle Pratt of Findlay, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Risch) Vance on December 31, 2001, one son, David Vance, two brothers, William L. Vance and Howard P. Vance and two sisters, Rachel “Betty” Chaney and Nancy Rine. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 8, at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, Rev. Todd Toole will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
