Marvin L. Turner
age 81 of Hillsboro died Tuesday evening September 26,
2006 at the Ohio Veterans’ Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born March 18,
1925 in Dry Ridge, Kentucky the son of the late Ed and Bertha Scroggins Turner.
Mr. Turner was retired from the General Motors Company after thirty years of
service and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the
Northview Baptist Church in Hillsboro. He is survived by his wife, Orpha Tyra
Turner whom he married on June 24, 1958. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Demetria Atwood in 1976. Services will
be held 12:00 p.m. Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Brother Jeff Griffin of the Northview Baptist Church will officiate. Burial,
with military honors, will follow in the Mt. Zion Park Cemetery in Beavercreek,
Ohio. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Turner
& Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Building Fund of the Northview Baptist Church, 1139 Northview Drive, Hillsboro,
Ohio 45133.
