Catherine Jane Tener, age 83, longtime resident of Hillsboro, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Laurel’s of Hillsboro. She was born September 2, 1923 in East Monroe, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert and Norma Forte Patterson. She was a loving wife and mother, and belonged to the Hillsboro Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband Ralph Tener to whom she married March 8, 1941 in Wilmington; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and her husband John Schuman of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Judy Stevens of Hillsboro, and Barbara and her husband Douglas McCann of Punta Gorda, Florida; three grandchildren, Mark Schuman of Natick, Massachusetts, Angela and her husband Eric Maki of Tampa, Florida, and Jenny and her husband Michael Shapiro of Pataskala, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Brook and Olivia Maki of Tampa, Florida; sister Margaret Dailey of Wilmington; and two brothers Raymond Patterson of Genoa, Ohio, and James H. Patterson of Wilmington. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her grandson David Douglas McCann; sister Helen Werstler; and two brothers, Robert and Roy Patterson. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. John Porter of the Hillsboro Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday, December 18, 2006 at the funeral home.
