Blanche C. Tener age 82 of Hillsboro died early Monday morning June 27, 2005 at the Heartland of Hillsboro. She was born July 19, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Orlie and Cora (McKeever) Sellman. Blanche had been a cook for the May-Roy Restaurant and had also worked in housekeeping at the Highland District Hospital. She was a member of the World War I Auxiliary, a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161 Auxiliary and had been a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn and her husband Richard Burkard of Hillsboro, five sons, James Russell Tener Jr. of Pricetown, Richard Thomas and his wife Diane Tener of Hillsboro, Donald Lee “Boss” and his wife Thelma Jean Tener of Hillsboro, John Lewis Tener of Hillsboro, Charles Edward Tener of Bainbridge, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Betty and her husband Forest Morgan of Hillsboro, Sally Tener of Hillsboro, Joan Fauber of Hillsboro, Ruth Boyer of Indiana, two brothers-in-law, Ralph and his wife Jane Tener of Hillsboro, Lewis Tener Jr. of Hillsboro, special friend, Marjorie Harner of Sabina and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Tener on July 8, 1980, two grandsons, Rusty Keith Tener and Robbie Tener, two brothers, Orlie Sellman Jr. and David Milton Sellman, and one sister, Frances Maxwell. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hillsboro Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
