Emma Elizabeth Taylor, age 82, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday August 17, 2004 at Highland District Hospital. She was born June 26, 1922 in Fletcher County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Elliott and Ida Collins Gibson. She is survived by five sons, Wallace and Connie Murphy of Sugar Tree Ridge, John Edward Murphy of Hillsboro, Gene Murphy of Hillsboro, Benny and Tiny Murphy of Hillsboro, and Ronald Murphy of Lynchburg; two daughters, Molly and Clifford Thompson of Florida, and Sue and Greg Watkins of Indiana; one brother Raleigh Gibson of Chillicothe; 35 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband John Murphy, second husband Russell Taylor,one son, one daughter, six sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery.
