Mary K. Tackett, age 62, of Hillsboro, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 12, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Bernard G. and Anna Frances Baber Vaughn. She belonged to the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Mary was a graduate of Wilmington College and had worked as and Early Intervention Specialist in Adams County. She enjoyed working with children. She is survived by her husband Virgil Tackett, to who she married July 29, 1967 in Dayton, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Tisha Tackett of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, and Trent; and brother Clifton George Vaughn of Deming, New Mexico. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Virgil Wade Tackett, and an infant sister Sally. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 At the Adams Branch Church of the Latter Day Saints on Graces Run Road, Winchester, Ohio. Darrel Armstrong will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg, and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
