Nancy Sweeney, age 69, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning, November 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 7, 1942, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a daughter of Charles S. and Freda (Goodwin) Seaman. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four children, Jeannie Wallace (Velma Valentine) of Columbus, Lisa Barr (Kevin Mercer) of Hillsboro, Tony Wallace of Hillsboro, Amanda Ballein (Corey) of Hillsboro; thirteen grandchildren, April Petry, Tisha Barr, Eric Barr (Amy Ferguson), Nikki Barr, Ryan Barr, Devin Mercer, Sarah Mercer, Corey A. Ballein, Amanda K. Ballein, Levi Duncan, Ashley Ballein, Mark Wallace (Erica) and Travis Wallace; five great grandchildren, Caleb Barr, Kaylie Barr, Damien Fry, Austin Doll and Mia Barr; a brother, Bobby Seaman (Nancy Heinze) of Morgantown; a sister, Abby Hobart of Morgantown; three half brothers, Jimmy Seaman (Sandy) of Morgantown, Terry Fisher (Judy) of Hillsboro, Danny Fisher (Pud) of Hillsboro as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sweeney, who passed away in 1995; a brother, Charles R. Seaman; a sister, Jeannette, and a half sister, Donna Wiley. In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro . The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
