Sorry to hear about the passing of your brother and uncle. May the love and peace of God help you through this time.
Over the years, I've taken care of Ken many times at HDH. He wanted so much to be able to have a "normal" life. The last time we talked, we talked about where we wanted to go and what he would eat if he could. I think he knew his time was growing short. I'll miss him terribly. May God give you strength in this time of grief. It's been a hard year for you all. Know that I will be thinking of you and praying for you.

Dear Diane and Family, I was stunned and saddened to read Ken's death notice last evening in the paper. And although I know you will miss him, I also realize you are somewhat relieved that his suffering and torment are over. I was remembering many things about Ken - his ready smile and nice sense of humor, his always asking how things were going and his concern if you expressed any problem. He was a gentleman, a sweetie pie - genuine - and someone with whom I enjoyed talking. While I also remember the enormous trials he had healthwise, even on most of those days, he would try his best to manage a smile of some sort. I don't remember when he came to Hillsboro - to our ER and into my life; I do remember discovering that he was your brother, Diane, and that made him "all right" because I had already bonded with you guys. I want to send along my sympathy to you - esp as you have just lost Mom/Grandmom, so I know this is a tough time for you. Know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. And although I don't know what I could do FOR you - I am just a phone call away if you want to cry, crab, or just talk. (364-6050). You all are special people to me, and I share my deep concern, love, and sympathy in this time. With love to all of you ----Jan Widman

Dear Diane & family, I know this is late in expessing my sympathy but I wanted to express our thoughts in your loss. I worked at HDH for 23 yrs & had the opportunity to know Kenneth. He was always so kind & polite & had great courage through out his trials of illness. He was a delight to talk with. Also, I knew your mother who was very special & sweet. In fact, I remember your husband John talking with us on night shift & making sure we had food to munch on. Your family is very wonderful & our prayers continue on. In Christ's Love, Angie (Cramton) Miller
