Davide Allan Brethauer (Soprano) age 31 of Hillsboro died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Cancun Mexico as a result of an accident. He was born June 25, 1980 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Kimberly Show Brethauer and Steven A. Brethauer. Davide was a 1999 graduate of Hillsboro High School, a graduate of the Southern State College Law Enforcement Officer Program and had been a member of the U. S. Army Old Guard at the grave of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Lynne Strausbaugh, his mother and stepfather, Kimberly and Dr. James McKown of Hillsboro, his father and stepmother, Steven and Nancy Brethauer of Williamsburg, one sister, Amberlyn (Travis Sprinkle) Brethauer of Hillsboro, one brother, Richard (Heather) Sisler of Peebles, maternal grandfather, William Show of Hillsboro, paternal grandmother, Shirley Brethauer of St. Louis, Missouri, five nieces, Alexis, Rayanne, Rickey, Payton Sprinkle and Alyssa Bruening of Hillsboro, three aunts, Marilyn Williams, Gloria Brethauer of St. Louis, Missouri, Marcy (Brian) Lassen of Chillicothe, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phil and Trina Strausbaugh of Chillicothe, three brothers-in-law, Josh (Laurel) Strausbaugh of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Joe and Jake Strausbaugh of Chillicothe and two nephews, Seth and Ethan Strausbaugh of Chillicothe . Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Father Mike Paraniuk will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Grandview Cemetery in Chillicothe. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made in Davide's name at the Mrechant's National Bank, 100 North High Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
