Shirley L. Snyder, age 62, of Waverly, formerly of the Lynchburg area, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born May 18, 1943 in South Lebanon, Ohio. She was a member of Bailey’s Chapel Church in Waverly, and a member of the Humane Society. Shirley dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her father Ed Chapman of Buford, five children, Terry (Tish) Hill of West Union, Michael (Kim) Hill of Mowrystown, Tammy (Brian) Hill of New Vienna, Darin (Amy) Hill of Mowrystown and Mark Hill of Waverly; fifteen grandchildren, Tara Nicole Hill of Johnson City, Tennessee, Heather Faye Hill of Winchester, Holli Hilderbrand and Alyssa Hilderbrand of New Vienna, Brandon Hill, Christian Hill and Chandra Hill all of Mowrystown, Douglas Allen Hill of Waverly, D.J. Adkins and Jesse Adkins of Franklin, Kaylen Blevins of Oklahoma, Juanitamae Bailey of Waverly, Scott Deaton of Hillsboro, Erica Miller and Travis Miller of Mowrystown, and a granddaughter on the way; five great-grandchildren, Brooke, Lexy, Jaymon, Kendal and Destine Jade; and three sisters. She is preceded by her mother Henrietta Malot Chapman, husband Jerome D. Snyder and son Douglas E. Hill. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
