Donald Ray Smith age 76 of Leesburg died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Cincinnati. He was born March 31, 1930 in Washington C.H., Ohio the son of the late Guy and Ethel Marie (Goff) Smith. Mr. Smith had been a construction worker. He was a U. S. Army Paratrooper serving in the Korean War. He is survived four daughters, Vicki (Roger) Miller of Leesburg, Tonda (Bear) Bradley of Leesburg, Jackie Smith (Mark Kenney) Strande of North Ridgeville, North Carolina, Angie (Greg Smith) Smith of Leesburg, eight grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Stuckey, Nicole (Scott Mitchell) Stuckey, Jessica (Trent Bartley) Miller, Natasha Strande, Barry Miller, Josh Strande, Makayla Smith-Long and Dalton Smith, five great grandchildren, Kohler Bartley, Skylor Mitchell, Thaddeus Stuckey, Braylynn Mitchell and Austin Miller and one brother, Marion Smith of Washington C.H. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Barry Smith and by two sisters, Pearlene Combs and Bernice Stinson and two brothers, Carl Smith and Billy Mac Smith. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.
