
James “J.B.” Smith age 73 of Milford, Ohio died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Arbors Nursing Center in Milford. He was born August 3, 1932 near Lynchburg, Ohio the son of the late Estie and Hazel (Reveal) Smith. Mr. Smith had been a truck driver and maintenance supervisor for the Hillsboro Transportation Company for twenty-one years from1981 until 2002 and had served our country in the U. S. Army for fourteen years from 1957 until 1971 with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Jean (McCoy) Smith, daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Bob Morrison of Hillsboro, Sharon and Neil Countryman of Chillicothe, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kim Smith of Wesley Chapel, Florida, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Sylvia Smith of Wilmington, Charles “Chuck” and Bonnie Smith of Midland, sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Chester Hoffer of Otway, Jennie and Bob Morgan of Hillsboro, Joan Woolums of Phoenix, Arizona and Diana and Dale Rayburn of Hillsboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelin Karin Smith on October 7, 1991, one daughter, Susan Smith and two brothers, Gene William Smith and Richard “Dickie” Smith. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Charles Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
