Walter
L. Silvey, age 68, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, November 17, 2002 at the
Highland District Hospital. He was
born November 25, 1933, in Vanceburg, Kentucky the son of the late Lester and
Pearl Sartin Silvey. He was a
member of the Northside Church of Christ in Hillsboro and retired from the Ohio
State University. He is survived by
one son, Mikeal Stanley and his wife Evelyn, of Reynoldsburg, OH; three
grandchildren, Tara Kidd, and Kelsey and Katie Stanley, all of Reynoldsburg, OH;
four sisters, Deloris McKee and her husband Eugene of Charters, KY, Shirley
Fisher of Columbus, OH, Gloria Richardson of Apache Junction, AZ, and Alice
Applegate and her husband Boyd of Columbus, OH; three brothers, Russell Silvey
and his wife Virginia of Columbus, OH, Virgil Silvey of Hillsboro, and Harlen
Silvey and his wife Mary of Georgetown, KY.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann (Hayton)
Silvey, and four brothers, Clarence, Homer, Herbert and Argel Silvey.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2002 at the
Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
Bill Pierce of the Northside Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will
follow in the Bourneville Cemetery in Ross County, Ohio.
