Nancy C. Short, age 87, of Leesburg, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Heartland of Hillsboro. She was born on April 26, 1918, in Winchester, the daughter of the late Harry Curtis and Grace (Hanna) Fenton. She was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church and was a columnist for the Leesburg Citizen newspaper for many years. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Lenny Barrett of Florida, Martha Blair of Fayetteville, Lois and Kenny Worley of Leesburg and Heidi and Doug Morris of Leesburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, James K. and Pat Short II of Mystic, CT, Joe and Jeannette Short of Dayton and Jon Short of London; one brother and sister-in-law Dick and Barbara Fenton of Cincinnati; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James K. Short, who died June 15, 1997. Funeral services for Nancy will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.
