Benny Paul Sheppard age 56 of Hillsboro died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born November 28, 1949 in Mineral, Ohio the son of the late William and Emma Phillips Sheppard. Mr. Sheppard had been an owner-operator truck driver. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He is a member of the VFW Post 2402 in Xenia, F&AM Lodge #49 in Xenia and was a Life Member of the AmVets Post 61. He is survived by his wife Denise Harlow Sheppard, one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jeannie Sheppard of Shelbyville, Indiana, one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Mark Benson of Shelbyville, Indiana, four grandchildren, Emma Sheppard, Molly Benson, Eli Sheppard and Alyssa Benson, three sisters, Mary Forsythe of Florida, Dottie Smith of Florida, Freda Rieser of Dublin, Ohio, three brothers, Robert Sheppard of Mineral, Ohio, Harry Sheppard of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Chuck Sheppard of Columbus, Ohio, several nieces, nephews and friends including a special friend, Brenda Shepard of Hillsboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and George Sheppard. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
