Robert Franklin Shaw, Sr., age 77, of Hillsboro, died peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday morning, September 7, 2006 at his residence.  He was born February 21, 1929, in Xenia, the son of the late Jessie Lawrence and Bessie Mae (Lorenzo) Shaw.  He was a member of the Rocky Fork AmVets Post 61.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and served during the Korean Conflict.  He retired from General Motors after more than thirty years of service.  On May 30, 1947, he married his wife, Virginia, who survives.  He is also survived by three daughters, Cheryl Davidson of Batavia, Brenda Kinser of Chillicothe and Rosa (Jack) Thompson of Hillsboro, two sons, Robert F. Shaw, Jr., of Cincinnati and Anthony R. (Sheila) Shaw, Sr., of Hillsboro, a sister-in-law, Delores (Donald) Craycraft of Hillsboro, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.   The Highland County Honor Guard will accord military honors for Mr. Shaw 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  There will be no visitation.
