Betty H. Shaw age 80 of Hillsboro died Thursday afternoon July 3, 2003 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1923 in Rainsboro, Ohio the daughter of the late Enos and Florence (Watts) Holmes. She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church and was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #441. She had retired from the Langley-Smith-Steele Company in Hillsboro. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Shaw of Cincinnati, one son, Dennis Shaw of Hillsboro, one sister, Isabel Kier of Hillsboro one sister-in-law, Louella Shaw of Cincinnati, one brother-in-law, Thad (Marilyn) Gossett of Greenfield, five nieces, one nephew and several great and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Ivan Dale Shaw on August 17, 2001 and by one sister, Jean Gossett, one brother-in-law, Clarence Kier Jr. and one sister-in-law, Isla Jean (Ray) Smithson. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  The Rev. Charles Shonkwiler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
