My deepest thoughts are with you the family at this time. Butch has been a good friend and I will miss him. He and I worked together at IGA and developed our friendship then. It has grown over the years. I could always count on him to intrigue my mind or have something to make me laugh. Just recently Butch and I went on the wagon ride during the Village Christmas. He walked into the Wishing Well and we were talking. He said he wanted to go on the wagon ride but did not have anyone to go with him. So I asked for a few minutes out of work to do so. We had a nice time even though it was only about 20 minutes long. I will deeply miss him. Sincerely Sandra Steward

I have been friends with Butch since before we ever started to school. As kids we used to hang out in the Library we gave poor Mrs Wilt fits! He once told me he had "blue blood" & I told him he just had INK in his veins! We always teased back & forth like brother & sister. I saw him one evening last week at the carry out & we talked then I hugged him before leaving. True friends are hard to find, and he was one of mine.I will miss him terribly. Suki
To the family of Butch Selph: Butch and I and our gang in high school used to hang out together after school. I fondly remember all the good times and laughs we had together. Butch will be missed by all who knew him. You have my sympathy for your loss. Sincerely, Pamela (Smith) Young

My deepest sympathy to all of you. Butch and my mother - Mary Ann Dyehouse - were good friends, and I feel like he was my good friend too. I enjoyed talking with him since he always had something interesting to say and was always positive and upbeat. He came with my mother to visit me in Cincinnati one day and we had a wonderful time. I will always remember what fun we had that day. I know my mother and I will miss him very much. Beth Robinson

Karen and I express our sympathy to the family of Butch Self. Butch was a classmate of mine and I have visited with him numerous times over the years while in meetings and community functions. Butch will be missed in the Lynchburg area. I donated $100.00 to the Wilkin Scholarship Fund earlier this week at the Alumni Basketball Tournament. Please consider that donation to be in Butch's memory.
