Leona Scott, age 65, of Greenfield, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1937 in Logan County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Sherman and Rita Powers Farley. She was a member of the Rainsboro United Methodist Church. She is survived by seven children, Tim (Edith) Bradley, of Greenfield, Debbie Reay, of Washington C.H., Tonda Hawkins, of Williamsport, George R. Scott, Jr., of Greenfield, Dwayne (Kim) Scott, of Circleville, Gregory (Jennifer) Scott, of Jamestown, and Gwyn Scott, of Greenfield; three sisters Florence Johnson and Beatrice (Robert) Toth of Man, West Virginia and Juanita (Eugene) Cook, of Fairdale, West Virginia; three brothers Luchin (Phyllis) Farley, of Berea, Kentucky, Latham (Jerry) Farley, of Joplin, Missouri, and Larry (Betty) Farley, of Fairdale, West Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George R. Scott, Sr. in 2000, one sister Pauline Smith and one brother Grante Farley. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, in Hillsboro. The Rev. Janie Shoemaker of the Rainsboro United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday August 4, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, in Hillsboro.
