Virginia Bolte Schildman age 82 of Hillsboro died Tuesday evening, July 30, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born March 23, 1920 in Norwood, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Overbeck) Fischer. She and her first husband Bill had owned and operated Bolte’s Grocery in Belfast for many years that is now owned and operated by their son, Bill Jr. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Schildman, whom she had married on July 14, 1988 at St. Mary Church in Hillsboro, sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Sherry Bolte of Hillsboro, Michael and Wanda Bolte of Lancaster, William, Jr. and Shelly Bolte of Batavia, daughter and son-in-law, Mary B. and Tom Stanforth of Hillsboro, step-son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Barbara Schildman of Bellbrook, step-daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Carl Simmons of Centerville, grandchildren, Jeff and Susan Bolte of Atlanta, Michelle and Nate Gerding of Detroit, Mike Bolte of Lancaster, Audrey Bolte of Batavia, Tom and Jennifer Stanforth of Batavia, Scott and Megan Parsons of Hillsboro, Steve Kudika of Hillsboro, Stacy Kudika of Hillsboro, Heidi and Chris Berardinis of Maineville, Mary and Gil Smith of Hilliard, Todd and Meghan Simmons of Chicago, Amy and Dave Fugate of West Chester and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Bolte, Sr. on September 13, 1984 and by three sisters, Helen Romes, Rosemary Whitehead and Edna Tekulve. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church in Hillsboro. The Reverend Stanley Luehrmann will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
