Leo Ralph Sanderson, age 62, of Leesburg, died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the Greenfield Area Medical Center. He was born on September 6, 1943, in Washington Court House, the son of the late Elden Dewey and Agnes (Ackley) Sanderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a respiratory therapist. He was a member of the Leesburg American Legion Post #568. On December 22, 1962, he married his wife Amanda (Story) Sanderson in Monterey, California, who survives. He is also survived by four children, Marc (Sandra) Sanderson of Leesburg, Amanda (Randy) Furlong of Florida, Kenneth (Robin) Sanderson of Leesburg and Tara (Anthony) Salsgiver of Leesburg, four brothers Alvin (Barbara) Sanderson of Washington C.H., John (Kathy) Sanderson of Greenfield, Elmer (Judy) Sanderson of Washington C.H., Edward (Bonnie) Sanderson of Kansas, three sisters Patricia Taylor of Florida, Brenda (Alan) Bartruff of Washington C.H., and Vickie (Dan) Bartruff of Washington C.H., twelve grandchildren Trina Sanderson, Kevin Sanderson, Jessica Furlong, Tiffany Furlong, Amanda Sanderson, Heather Sanderson, Megan Sanderson, Ashley Sanderson, David Salsgiver, Brianne Salsgiver, Caitlyn Salsgiver, Dylan Salsgiver, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers George Sanderson, Eugene Sanderson, Elzie Sanderson and Robert Sanderson. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. The Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg is serving the family and providing cremation services.
