Jack
Saddler, age 84, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at his
residence. He was born October 7,
1921, in Morrow, the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Martha Jane (Carter)
Saddler. He was a World War II
veteran of the United States Army. He
was a machinist during his entire working career.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and James Ritchie of
Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Crystal (Chris) Hoskins of Hillsboro and Randy
Daniels of Midland, three great grandchildren, Courtney Hoskins, Caitlyn Hoskins
and Carlee Sue Hoskins, a sister-in-law, Alice Johnson of Hillsboro, a
brother-in-law, Robert Jones of Batavia, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary
Louise Saddler, who passed away on March 17, 1998, three brothers, Sherman
Saddler, Ferman Saddler and Clarence Carter, and two sisters, Elma Sess and
Melva Riley. Funeral services for
Mr. Saddler will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the Turner & Son
Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Steve
Powell will officiate. The Highland
County Honor Guard will accord military honors immediately following the service
at the funeral home. Friends may
