Arnold
Lee Robinson, age 83, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the
Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born
January 7, 1924 in Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of the late Dewey and Lillie
(Lewis) Robinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to
farming, he was owner of Robinson’s Trash Removal Service in the Hillsboro area
for many years. He was a member of the Hillsboro VFW Post 9094 and a past
member of the Rocky Fork AmVets Post 61. On February 14, 1974, in Hillsboro, he
married Wanda (Dillon) Robinson, who survives. He is also survived by two sons,
Gary and his wife Jerri Robinson of Xenia, Furman Robinson of Greenfield, a
daughter, Karen and her husband Thane Stewart of New Vienna, a step-daughter,
Ginny Brown of Rome, Ohio, a step-son, Donald Dillon of Kingston, two brothers,
Herschel (Martha) Robinson of Hillsboro, Virgil (Phyllis) Robinson of Florida,
two sisters, Lula (Bill) Hayes of Richmond, Indiana, Ollie (Jim) Reeves of Dry
Ridge, Kentucky, three grandsons, three step-grandsons, a great-granddaughter,
twelve nieces and six nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a grandson, a granddaughter, a sister Florence “Poppy” Robinson and a
brother, Andy Robinson. Funeral services for Mr. Robinson will be 2:00 p.m.
Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Tom
Zile will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland
County Honor Guard will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may
call from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Turner & Son
Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
