Robert N. Roads age 71 of Hillsboro formerly of Greenfield died Sunday evening, August 15, 2004 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. He was born April 3, 1933 in Greenfield the son of Homer C. and Naomi Lloyd Roads. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, a long time farmer, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hillsboro, a member and Past President of the Good Hope Lions Club in Washington Court House. On December 27, 1951 in Greenfield he married Patty J. Malcolm Roads who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Naomi Roads of Washington Court House, daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Greg Reed of Leesburg, Amy and Jerry Cartwright of Kettlersville, OH.; daughter-in-law, Kim (Richard) Hiatt of New Vienna, brothers, George Roads of Bryan, OH., James Roads of Covington, KY., half sister, Shirley Anderson of Portland, Oregon, grandchildren, Katie (Shawn) Adams, Abbey Reed, Laura Reed, Anna Louise Roads, Samuel Robert Cartwright, great grandchildren, Zane and McKenzie Adams and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his son, G. David Roads in June 2000, an infant daughter Lori Jean Roads, brother, Lloyd Roads, sister, Janet Roads and a half sister Kathleen Pope. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of Hillsboro. Rev. Chuck Shonkwiler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with Military honors performed by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Good Hope Lions Club will provide services at  7:45 P.M. Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
