just learned this morning of Bob's passing. our thoughts and prayers go out to you. not only did you lose a loved one, but the area lost a valued, concerned citizen and a part of it's history. i know that all those card players who have gone before greeted Bob with open arms and had a place set up for him at that table, i can see his great smile and their's as they welcomed him home.

Very Sorry To Hear. Bob & My Dad Were Class Mates In School.Pam & I were Class Mates In School. My Deepest Sympathy To All. Steve From ST.Petersburg FL.
Lori and I are sorry to hear of your loss. I certainly have fond memories of the Roades family, growing up as a Buford boy. Sometimes I go out of my way to drive down 321 so I can go by my grandparents old farm, saddened that the house is no longer there. Just a stones throw down the road is the Roades house. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
Jeane, Chuck, Patty and Pam, I want to express my sympathy for the loss of Bob. Another one of our steadfast Buford residents has left us. Growing up with friends and neighbors like you has influenced my life for the better. I have another commitment on Saturday, a first birthday party. My thoughts will be there in the old school with you, where we spent many years on a Saturday in May in the company of our friends. May you all find peace within and know that we care. Sincerely, Donna
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. It was my privilage to know the Roades family over the many years and I understand how hard it is when you lose one of your parents. I wish I was closer to attend his memorial, but I will say a prayer for you all as you remember the good times. GOD bless you and keep you,
Your Neighbor,
Glenn Bash
Bob was a great guy, he fought a good fight, and many of us are better off because he played a role in our life.
Dear Roades Family; sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. Knowing most of the family always make such a note difficult to write as we know the feeling of the loss of many of our family as well as friends but we also know the comfort and grace that God provides at this time.He will bless you all if you let Him enter into your heart. Bob and I had many times of discussion even going back to our school days. Best wishes ti all of you. Skip and Kristen.
We lift up our prayers for you in this time of grief. Both of us have fond and lasting memories of Bob and the rest of the family: Jan as a neighbor and Kathy as a relative that bought eggs from her parents. May God continue to remind you of all the good things and good times you shared with him, and that the memory of him grows more pleasant with time. We do wish we could attend, but Cheryl is in the hospital with Luekemia, and we will be visiting her this weekend
Dear Pam & Family. I'm so sorry for your loss and I also will miss Bob. I had many a fun nights watching him play cards and also playing cards with him on a few occasions at the Lynchburg Gun Club. He was a very good card player back in those days. Although I haven't seen him for years I'll never forget those nights. He was respected by everyone I ever seen him play with. I watched him and dad along with the rest of the gang that played cards there a many a night when I loaded and pulled trap at the gun club back in the 70's and he was one of the toughest to beat at the game. I know if dad were here today he would tell you the same. He always liked Bob also. If you ever need someone to talk to Pam don't hesitate to call me.
Sincerely Yours, Dewayne
I wish we could have attended the memorial. Since we couldn't, we lifted a glass in a toast to Bob - a good man and a life well lived.
We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Bob Roades. Please extend our sympathy to the entire family. May God give you comfort and peace in this time of loss.
