Inez
Rhoads, age 102, died early Saturday
morning, January 24, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born
September 22, 1901 in Highland County, Ohio the daughter of the late, Frank and
Maggie (Reno) Davidson. Mrs. Rhoads was a member of the Samantha Freewill
Baptist Church. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, John and Ethel
Rhoads of Carmel, Robert and Judy Rhoads of Sinking Spring, Charles and Betty
Rhoads of Highland, daughters and sons-in-law, Flossie and Cliff Henson of
Leesburg, Norma Stafford of Bainbridge, Ann and Jerry Cline of Hillsboro,
Dorothy and Allen Coleman of Greenfield, fifty-three grandchildren, one
hundred-seventeen great grandchildren and thirty great great grandchildren. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Rhoads
on June 23, 1963, three daughters, Hazel Tong, Helen Malott and Mary Garman
Waite, two sons, Paul and Howard Rhoads, three sisters, Dora Brown, Flossie
Hart, Beryl Burns, one brother, Mora “Buck” Davidson, six grandsons, one
granddaughter, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Services will be
held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Brother Wiley B. Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge
Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the
Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made
to Heartland of Hillsboro Activity Fund, 1141 Northview Drive, Hillsboro, Ohio
45133 or to the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church, 10211 S. R. 72, Leesburg, Ohio
