Joseph R. Reck age 65 of Lynchburg, Ohio (Pricetown Community) died Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born November 8, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Cecil and Viola (Thorp) Reck. He was a retired Boilermaker, a member of the Buford Church of Christ, the Sardinia Lodge 254 F.&A.M., the Boilermaker’s Local 105 in Piketon and was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Combs Reck whom he married on September 26, 1956 in Brookville, Indiana, four sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary, Jeffery and Bobby Reck of Lynchburg and Kenneth and Brenda Reck of Mt. Orab, one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Tom Burns of Hamilton, three grandsons, Michael Reck of Sardinia, Joshua and Joseph Burns of Hamilton, one granddaughter, Alexia Reck of Mt. Orab, two sisters, Phyllis Piatt and Betty Back of Mt. Orab and two brothers, John Reck of Dayton and Bill Reck of Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral home in Lynchburg. Masonic services will be presented by the Sardinia Masonic Lodge 254 on Friday at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
