Donald J. Rammel age 77 of Lynchburg died Thursday evening, January 26, 2006 at the Liberty Nursing Center in Xenia. He was born August 7, 1928 in Lynchburg, Ohio the son of the late John Frederick and Frances (Reveal) Rammel. Mr. Rammel had retired after thirty years of service from the Ford Motor Company in Batavia and had served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by one brother, Paul Rammel and his wife June of Xenia, three sisters, Margene Morehead of Lynchburg, Doris Soale and her husband Gene of Franklin and Betty Evans of Washington C.H., three sisters-in-law, Virginia Rammel of Lynchburg, Millie Rammel of Cincinnati, Mazie Rammel of Lynchburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva “Dick” (Kratzer) Rammel on October 22, 2004 and by three brothers Robert F. “Bob” Rammel, Mitchell Rammel and William “Bill” Rammel.  Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rick Godlove will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
