Eugene A. Pyle age 83 of Hillsboro died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born July 19, 1920 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Meta (Seisler) Pyle. Mr. Pyle had practiced law for many years in the Highland County and surrounding areas. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161. He was a 1939 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and a 1948 graduate of the Case Western Reserve Law School in Cleveland. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving during World War II. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Pyle of Orlando, Florida, Keith and Diane Pyle of Quincy, MA., Kevin and Celesta Pyle of Loveland, friend, Christa Abbott of Hillsboro, step-daughters, Linda Teague of Fairfield, Katie and Steve Zink of Washington Court House, seven grandchildren, Kristine Roberts, Brad, Clinton, Michael, Elizabeth, Stephanie and Tracie Pyle, four step-grandchildren, Joseph and Lauren Teague and Matt and Brad Zink. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Theda Brown and Evelyn Ortiz and three brothers, Harold Gifford, Russ and Lorrin Pyle. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Pastor Doug Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at the Mt. Peace Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
