Chrystobel Pratt Pulliam was born at the family farm near Dodsonville to Delbert and Inez Dunsieth Pratt on July 28, 1931. She attended Lynchburg School graduating in 1949. She began her business career by serving as Secretary to the Lynchburg Home Builders Association. She selected Richard M. Pulliam as her husband and they were united in marriage by David William, Methodist Minister, at the Pratt home on Broadway Street in Lynchburg, Ohio on August 20, 1950. Together they established their home on the Pulliam farm after the August 20, 1950 wedding.
To this union was born three children, Vicky Lee, Marty Jay and Cathy Sue. Chrystobel was always busy caring for her family and redecorating the seventeen homes that Skip and Chrys were buying, remodeling and reselling. Chrys would say, this was how she put Skip through school. She was a member of several ladies clubs and the Pricetown Church of Christ.
One of her joys was spending time in Florida. After her heart surgery caused difficulty in cold air breathing, her bookstore, auctions and antique shop provided her with many friends to compliment her many church activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Ben Pratt.
She is survived by children, Vicky Lee (Earl) Smith of Rome Georgia, Marty Jay (Missy) Pulliam of Bainbridge, Cathy Sue (Joey) Potter of Fayetteville, Georgia, sister, Betty Cadgene of Bellaire, Florida and grandchildren, Stacey (Todd) Churchill, Shelley Smith, Shana Smith, Siobhan Smith, Malachi J. Pulliam, Silas E. Pulliam, Josiah Potter and Hannah Beth Potter.
She and Skip celebrated her 75th birthday as well as their 56th wedding anniversary this summer leaving a legacy of love and longevity for their family to emulate as Chrystobel celebrates her life’s departure on August 28, 2006.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Bane Angles will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sesquicentennial Celebration Committee of the Pricetown Church of Christ, 2070 S. R. 131, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. The Turner Funeral Homes are serving the family.

Know that I am thinking of you with so much love! Wish I could be there with you to hold your hands, give you hugs and cry with you. I loved Chrystobel and had several times of lighthearted laughter with her. I want you and your Dad to know that "love lives on forever in your hearts."
May time do it's quiet work bringing comfort to your hearts. Know that I am with you in spirit and in love. You all have been with me and I shall never, never forget it. My love, Doris C.
