Orma Carolyn Pitzer age 85 of Hillsboro died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at her home. She was born June 21, 1921 in Pike County, Ohio the daughter of the late Dwight and Grace (Swayne) Humphrey. Mrs. Pitzer had worked as a cook for the Whitehouse Nursing Center and Heartland Care Center. She attended the Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Pitzer of Hillsboro, Kathy Emond and her husband David of Evansville, Indiana, Carolyn Searls of Hillsboro, one son, Randy Pitzer of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Melissa Bourne and her husband Jarred, Sherri Stowell and her husband Spencer, April Searls and John Searls, six great grandchildren, Logan, Brianna and Shaina Bourne, Jeffrey and Bianca Tucaliuc and Dakota Searls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Harold Pitzer on January 12, 1999, two brothers, Bill and Gene Humphrey and one sister, Mildred Baldwin. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Maurice Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be mad to the American Cancer Society, 5378 Cox Smith Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
