Frank B. Pinkerton, Jr., age 81 of Hillsboro died Saturday morning, December 6, 2002 at the Valley View Alzheimer’s Care Center in Frankfort, Ohio. He was born July 18, 1921 in Dayton the son of the late Franklin B. and Opal Serena Cashner Pinkerton. He was the owner of the Intermatic Service Center, a 1939 graduate of the Verona High School in Dayton, an Army Air Force Veteran in W.W.II, a member of the Coast Guard Auxilary, the Highland County Election Board, Highland Lodge F.& A.M. # 38, a member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge #361 where he was Past Exalted Ruler and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Frank B. Pinkerton III of Sardinia, Gerald K. Pinkerton of Hillsboro, Sam C. and Cindy Pinkerton of Hillsboro, Bruce and Sue Pinkerton of Dayton, a sister Vivian Ball of Palmdale, California, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlyne F. Browning Pinkerton on September 24, 1995, one daughter Cheryl Ann Pinkerton, a brother, David Pinkerton and a sister Lorean Hall. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Dobbins will officiate. Committal Services will take place at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, at the Riverside Cemetery in West Milton, Ohio. Friends may call 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
