Robert Perkins age 87 of Hillsboro died Sunday, October 5 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born February 29, 1916 the son of the late Ike and Mary Alexander Perkins. He was a retired farmer and coal miner. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ivar and Ruth Perkins of Jewett, Ohio; four daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and the late Roger Suiter of Hillsboro, Jean and Herbert Blankenship of Akron, Indiana, Mary and Dan Booth of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia and Naomi and Cliff Crestwood of Chattanooga, Tennessee, 29 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola O’Neil Keeton Perkins in November 1978 his father Ike Perkins, his mother and step father, Charles and Mary A. Perkins Colburn, a son, Chester Keeton, two brothers, Clifford and Oakley, two sisters, Martha and Margaret, a granddaughter Tammy Sue and two great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2002 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Cremation is to follow. Friends may call 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
