Evelyn
G. Perdue age 86 of Hillsboro died
Tuesday afternoon April 9, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born January 28, 1916 in Peebles, Ohio the daughter of the late Harvey
and Emma (Hoop) Pence. Mrs. Perdue had retired from the Hillsboro High School
where she had been a cook. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law,
Sharon and Phil Roush of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Brad and Paula Roush and
Jobi and Dax Bennington, three great grandchildren, Meghan and Madison Roush and
Gage Bennington, one sister, Opal Gilliam of Washington Court House, one
brother, Pete Pence of Sabina and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her
parents, her husband James Perdue preceded her in death in 1985. Services will
be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev.
Wiley B. Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in
Peebles. Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner
