Ray Pendall age 91 of Lynchburg died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born March 21, 1913 in Mowrystown, Ohio the son of the late Alva and Margaret (Secrist) Pendall. Mr. Pendall was a lifelong farmer and livestock buyer and trader. He was a member of the Lynchburg First United Methodist Church and the Lynchburg Lions Club. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Carter of Lynchburg, five grandchildren, David R. Burkard, Robert N. Carter, Michelle Lynch and Jamie Carter all of Lynchburg, Candi Thornton of Midland, six great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Martin of Kettering. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Riley) Pendall in 1963, one daughter, Paulette Pendall Ludwick and four brothers, Ralph, Roy, Don and Gerald Pendall. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Ray Storer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.
