James Eugene Pegan age 68 of Lynchburg died suddenly Sunday, July 31, 2005 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital. He was born in St. Martin the son of the late Clarence and Grace (Walsh) Pegan. Mr. Pegan was a U.S. Marine Corporal during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts and a groundskeeper at the Brown County Ursualine Center for over 30 years. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Pat Strain of Hillsboro, a son, James T. Pegan of Mt. Orab, brother and sister-in-law Edward C. and Marilyn Pegan of St. Martin, Larry Pegan of Fayetteville, sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Jr. Camp of Wilmington, Gracie Pegan of Greenfield, Rita Poston of Cocoa Beach, Florida, grandchildren, Tasha (Travis) Lanter of Mt. Orab, Nisko Kimberly of Seaman and companion, Norma Sydnor of Newtonsville. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Duarte Pegan on October 12, 1996, daughter, Bernadette Marie Pegan, brother, Richard Pegan, and sister, Julia Macke. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the St. Martin Chapel of St. Angela Merici Parish. Rev. Richard Klug will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery with military honors provided by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.
