Helen Lindsey Palovcik age 91 of Hillsboro died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at her residence. She was born September 10, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Ben and Nell (Dunnuck) Hanna. Mrs. Palovcik had worked at the Hercules Trouser Company in Hillsboro for over twenty-two years and had also worked for the Irwin Auger Bit Company in Wilmington. She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, the Highland County Senior Citizens and the Sardinia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Nick and Pat Lindsey of Hillsboro and Erling Carl and Judy Nelson of Rogersville, Tennessee, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Lindsey in November 1972, her second husband, Michael Palovcik in May 2000, one son, Richard Nelson in 1968 and by one brother Carl Hanna. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the convenience of the family. John Porter will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugar tree Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
