Mildred C. Noel age 95 of Highland, Ohio died early Friday, September 13, 2002 at her residence. She was born April 6, 1907 in Piketon, Ohio the daughter of the late Thaddeaus and Mary (Lobdill) Henson. Mrs. Noel was a 1925 graduate of Piketon High School and was the oldest member of the Walnut Hills Church of Christ in Christian Union. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Claar Ervin of Highland; three sons and daughters-in-law, Selby and Ethel Noel of Tallahassee, Florida, Bob and Ann Noel of Wilmington and Morris and Sharon Noel of Rincon, Georgia; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; one sister, Relma Bond of Huntington Beach, California and one brother, William Henson of Cochise, Arizona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Noel on May 16, 1989; two sisters, Marcella Ritchie and Nancy Ford; one brother, Ralph Henson; one grandson, Terry Lee Noel and one nephew, Paul McAllister. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Walnut Hills Church of Christ in Christian Union. Pastor Robert Carroll and Pastor Grover Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. The body will lie-in-state from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Walnut Hills Church of Christ in Christian Union.
